Recent newsletter One of the easiest ways to reduce energy use (and energy bills) is to lower the amount of energy it takes to heat and cool your home. Insulation is an easy way that we can reduce energy costs, along with fixing or replacing drafty windows.
A Kansas program funded by the federal Department of Energy and the Low-Income Energy Assistance program is looking to begin weatherizing homes in Wyandotte county. This program is looking to help the elderly, handicapped and low-income persons weatherize there homes and achieve lower energy costs.
Applications are available at http://www.eckan.org/Page585.htm . RDA sees this as a great opportunity for residents of Rosedale to reduce energy costs, increase their home value and quality of life. If you do not fit the criteria for receiving this service, please consider those you know who may fit and help them to apply or let us know of anyone who may benefit from this program. |
