Mark your calendars! On October 30, from 4-6 p.m., Rosedale Development Association invites you to walk along our first Haunted Halloween trail in the Rozarks. This walk will be a family friendly event, meaning there will be nothing too scary or frightening. Community partners will also be present, along with a pumpkin giveaway thanks to our friends at After the Harvest.
The idea for a Halloween trail walk came after the resounding success of our Rozarks Luminary trail walk last holiday season. We had several participants request that we hold more events in the Rozarks trails, as they are one of Rosedale’s most beloved resources. Given that the woods always look a little spooky in the autumn as the leaves fall, we figured that a Halloween-themed trail walk would be a fun event for all of Rosedale to enjoy.
This event will take place at Mount Marty Park, which in addition to being an entry point for the Rozarks trails, is also the home of the Rosedale Memorial Arch. The sun will be setting around 6:30 p.m. on the 30, but we ask that you bring a flashlight as it is always darker in the woods. We highly encourage you to come to this event in your Halloween costume, but remember to wear comfortable walking shoes for the hilly trails!
All social distancing guidelines will be followed during this event and we ask that you wear masks when you are within 6 ft of people outside of your household. We are also still looking for volunteers to help us set up before and tear down after the event. We look forward to seeing you all there!
