This Thanksgiving, Rosedale Development Association is assembling Feed-a-Family baskets for the 31st year. During Feed-a-Family, RDA collects donations of nonperishable food items, household items, children’s winter wear of all sizes, and cash or gift cards to purchase perishable items. Community members in need are then given all their items just in time for Thanksgiving celebrations.
Thanks to help from Rosedale’s schools, churches, neighborhood groups, businesses, and volunteers, RDA has been able to provide more than 35 families with holiday baskets and coats each year. But now we need your support to help it all come together.
How You Can Help
The Feed-a-Family program needs assistance in the form of cash donations, 35 turkeys, and winter wear for children and young adults. Winter wear for Feed-a-Family includes coats, scarves, mittens, gloves, and hats. If you would like to donate any coats, mittens, gloves, or hats, please call ahead for sizes before purchasing. All donations will be collected on Wednesday, November 16.
Can’t donate money or items? Interested volunteers are invited to join us on November 18 to help assemble food baskets for our neighbors.
If you, your family, or your organization would like more information about how you can get involved with this Rosedale tradition, please contact Je T’aime Taylor at (913) 677-5097 or email email@example.com.
