Throughout May, people and organizations across the nation – and across the metro – will be celebrating Bike Month. Of course, we’ll be celebrating all-things-bike, too. But we’ll also be celebrating our fellow pedestrians.
Our goal for Bike Month is to not only inspire more people in Kansas City to ride their bikes, but to make physical activity a part of their daily routines. Plus we love any excuse to bring our community together!
For more information about Bike Month, give us a call at 913-677-5097 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Frank Rushton Elementary students will also be celebrating Bike Month with us at their very own Bike Rodeo on May 13th.
There will be a bike repair station, as well as bike safety tips and activities led by BikeWalkKC.
On May 14th we’ll be hosting our 5th annual Bike-In Movie at 7 p.m. at Boulevard Drive-In at 1051 Merriam Ln., Kansas City, KS, 66103.
This year we will be showing the ’80’s classic, The Goonies. But this won’t be just any movie screening: it’s a quote-along! We’ll have props and fun ways for you to be a part of this epic tale of family-friendly adventure.
Plus the Bike-In Movie is FREE to attend!
Bike & Bus the 105 is a community-wide event where businesses and organizations along the Rosedale 105 bus route will offer special treats and give-aways to cyclists and bus riders on May 27th.
Rosedale Development Association staff and volunteers will be stationed at the bus stop near Holy Name Catholic School near Southwest Blvd. and Iowa St.
More details to come!
On May 30th we will end Bike Month with the Rosedale Retro Run. The Rosedale Retro Run will combine a 5k/Fun Run with a righteous 1980’s theme, a costume contest, and a community trail work day.
The Retro Run will start at 8 a.m. on May 9th at Fisher Park, 3800 Fisher St, Kansas City, KS, 66103. A finish line party for all participants will be in the park until 2 p.m.Click Here to Register for the Rosedale Retro Run
