Dear friends and colleagues,
It is with mixed emotions that I share with you that I have resigned from Rosedale Development Association to accept the position of Executive Director at the Kansas Center for Economic Growth, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that conducts research and analysis to promote balanced state policies that help ensure all Kansans prosper. My last day at RDA will be August 26, and my new position will begin in September.
The last seven years at RDA have been a time of growth, challenge and progress. I have greatly enjoyed my time at RDA, and I am proud of the progress we have made toward creating a strong and healthy community. From the Rosedale Master Plan update and community survey to the farmers market and new sidewalks to the neighborhood groups and housing advocacy at Rosedale Ridge, I have valued and learned from every experience. It has been gratifying and humbling to be a part of these efforts, and it is difficult to leave.
But what I have valued most in Rosedale is the people, and the relationships and friendships I have built. The Rosedale community – as evidenced by the Dinner with your Data event in June – is full of passionate and engaged people. We are lucky to have a strong community of nonprofit partners, funders, businesses and advocates committed to Rosedale.
I am excited to continue serving our community as I transition to state level advocacy for a balanced budget and tax policy to benefit all Kansas families. You can find out more about the Kansas Center for Economic Growth at realprosperityks.com.
I am committed to supporting a smooth transition and will be available as the board and staff need me. The board and staff at RDA are outstanding, and it has been an honor to serve the Rosedale community with you. Erin Stryka, current Program Director at RDA, will serve as Acting Director until a new Executive Director is hired. Her email address is firstname.lastname@example.org.
Although I am leaving Rosedale Development Association, I will continue to reside in the Rosedale neighborhood for the foreseeable future. This is not goodbye, as I am sure our paths will cross again. If you would like to stay in touch after August, my home email address is email@example.com.
I am proud to be a part of the Rosedale community, and thank you for the opportunity and pleasure of working with you all. The future of Rosedale is bright!
