Kansas City Direct Primary Care (KCDPC), one of Rosedale’s newest businesses, will host a free health fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 13 at 2016 W 43rd Avenue, Suite A, Kansas City, Kansas 66103. The fair is co-hosted by Chard in Charge and Street Smart Nutrition.
This family-friendly event, featuring several local nonprofits and businesses, will offer a mix of free screening activities and resources for attendees.
BikeWalkKC will host a free helmet giveaway and provide tips for biking and pedestrian safety. Radiant Life Project, a nonprofit, donation-based yoga studio will be showcasing their spring schedule. RDA will be in attendance to highlight summer activities in the community, and the Rosedale Farmer’s Market will share information about their market, which officially opens on Sunday, May 14. Hen House Pharmacy will be on hand screening for high blood pressure and offering vouchers for free produce at select locations.
Cara Harbstreet of Street Smart Nutrition and Dianna Sinni Dillon of Chard in Charge, will offer a medley of recipe ideas, food samples, and basic tips for nutrition.
“We’re super excited to get to know the local Rosedale community better and to work together to empower healthier people,” Dillon said.
