Kansas City will be hosting the 3rd annual Midwest Amateur Disc Golf Championship on August 15 and 16.
Our own Rosedale Park, which features two 18-hole disc golf courses, will be one of three Kansas City parks to take part in the event. The tournament is expected to draw at least 300 participants.
Registration is open to the public, and the championship will feature two levels of competition. More advanced players are encouraged to sign up for the competitive amateur division, while the recreational division is meant for those looking for a social round of disc golf.
Tournament director Scott Reek shared that the tournament will have the feel of a professional tournament, and said that “everybody from advanced players to beginners will play at official tee times, and have their names announced.”
Registration can be done online at dynamicdiscs.com or at the Dynamic Discs store at 2854 W 47th St, Kansas City, KS 66103.
