Rozarks Nature Trails

The Rozarks Trails are a system of hiking and biking trails with a length of 4.5 miles in the woods of Rosedale. With trailheads at Mt. Marty Park, Fisher Park, and Minnie St. (near Seminary St.), this trail was built by hundreds of volunteers and is currently maintained by RDA.

Some parts of the trails have a steep grade, so wear good walking shoes before you head out on the trails!

Our Parks

Whether you need a place to exercise, host a gathering or just relax.

What parks are in Rosedale?

Rosedale Park

Rosedale Park (41st and Mission Rd.) is the largest park in Rosedale with the most amenities. Enjoy the new BikeWalkKC bikeshare, playground, disc golf course, baseball diamond, tennis courts, a skate park and a soccer field. This is the only park with restrooms.

Fisher Park

Fisher Park (39th Ave. and Springfield St.) offers BikeWalkKC bikeshare, playground equipment, an exercise area, entrance to the Rozarks trails, basketball hoops, and picnic tables.

Mt. Marty Park

Mt. Marty Park (Booth St. and Park Dr.) is home to both the Rosedale Memorial Arch and to a Rozarks Trails entrance.

Whitmore Park

Whitmore Playground (Southwest Blvd. and S.8th St.) is owned and operated by Rainbow Mennonite Church. It offers playground equipment, basketball hoops, picnic tables, and easy parking.

Pocket Park

The pocket park (39th St. and Rainbow Blvd.) was advocated for and initiated by Rosedale neighborhood groups! This is a beautiful and tiny greenspace created from an unused lot.

All the parks in Rosedale are maintained by the UG Parks and Recreation department. If you are wanting to reserve a shelter, click here.
