Rosedalians are always looking for ways to show up for their community, but did you know that you can serve Rosedale full-time or during the summer as an AmeriCorps member? RDA has two major opportunities coming up that just might be a fit for you.
AmeriCorps VISTA
RDA is looking for an AmeriCorps VISTA member to help us prepare for a major fundraising campaign to bring a community center to Rosedale. The VISTA will work with RDA staff researching funding prospects, creating campaign materials, and keeping community members informed and engaged through the process. This position is a good fit for someone who is interested in a career in fundraising, communications and community development, and who is looking for extensive training as well as hands-on experience. It is also a great fit for anyone who loves Rosedale and wants to work toward a long-term community goal.
Summer AmeriCorps
Do you love kids? Love reading? Are you looking for a summer position? Rainbow Summer Program is looking for teachers for classrooms of 9 students in grades K-8 during June and July. Rainbow Summer Program emphasizes a love of reading, healthy eating, active living, financial literacy, and advocacy. Extensive training is provided, but some professional experience in childcare or education is required. Members work as a team to provide a fun and engaging program that keeps Rosedale youth learning through the summer.
